Tsai Jui-yueh (first from the left) is the pioneer of Taiwan modern dance and the most famous female choreographer. Her husband Lei Shih-yu, (a poet), came to Taiwan after World War II but fled in 1949. The couple met each other again only after 50 years of separation. Miss Tsai had been confined in prison for three years since 1949. She had been in the Female Squadron of the New Life Correction Center in Green Island.
